Advanced Open Water Diver

The next stride beyond the Open Water Certification.  The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program is 5 Adventure dives, which can be completed in just 2 days of diving.  We start in Tarpon Bay to allow you to practice important dive skills like dive planning, navigation/compass work, and buoyancy control.  Our instructors will help you to fine tune your neutral buoyancy skills; while also helping increase your ability to Navigate underwater.  Using the PADI eLearning program allows for minimal classroom time… the focus is on diving and applying new skills and concepts underwater! Flexibility is key and Scuba Marco will cater our programs to meet your needs and time constraints!  Remember, each Adventure Dive qualifies as the first dive of each PADI Specialty. (Specialty certifications go more in depth on each area and generally require 2 to 4 dives per specialty.)

The Advanced course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving or underwater imaging. After completing your eLearning, you'll make five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification. Dives and Instruction are done over two days.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
