Jeff is off fishing, so Jessi is filling in this month.

Gratitude has been on my mind a lot lately. Our little ‘mom n pop’ dive shop has a lot to be grateful for this month. Even though it’s been a windy April we have snuck in several trips, even having 45+ foot of vis a couple of weeks ago. There have been many students and divers coming through needing equipment and we thankfully have plenty to outfit them with. We’ve met some really wonderful folks lately. Not to mention our AMAZING instructors guiding all these new divers through their certification journey. Remember when you were first getting certified? Was it terrifying but amazing all at the same time? When Jeff was certifying me, back in 1998, I just remember thinking ‘Don’t mess up or he won’t want to date you.’ Well it’s been 23 years now and I’m so grateful I didn’t give into my apprehension. I wouldn’t have met all the wonderful people that have come through our door. Many who have become not just dive buddies but are very close friends. Jerry from New York and Kathy from Minnesota have been diving with Jeff since before he even opened the shop here on Bald Eagle Dr. and Marilyn started our local Dive Club in the mid 90’s.

I know it’s easy to get caught up in politics, global events, daily trials and tribulations...just don’t forget to take a moment each day, take a deep breath and remember the last time you were underwater. How peaceful it was, all the cool critters you saw. I hope you can join us tomorrow evening for the dive club meeting and share some of your favorite experiences, stories of getting certified, and just soak up some good vibes.

Til then, Live, Love, Dive,
Jessi
