Dive in a Day

Tarpon Bay Dive: $150  Scorpion: 1 tank $200 / 2 tank $250

The open water dives (step 4) require about three hours the first day and about five hours for the Scorpion IV dives.   We may mix in other divers (to a maximum of six).

Notes:   All times are approximate.   Step 3 (pool play) is performance - related and, therefore,  ease and time spent are directly related.   Costs include manual, dive tables, all instruction, use of top of the line  regulator, information system with compass, and a weight integrated BCD (all fully explained in Steps 1 and 2).

Students are responsible for the following:

  • mask

  • fins

  • snorkel

  • wetsuit (if needed)

  • logbook

We have several mask, fin, and snorkel We offer equipment sales and rentals for every budgetpackages put together for purchase.  You may also rent this equipment from us.

Rental fees for entire class are:

Mask, fins, snorkel   $50.00
Wetsuit   $25.00

We have several different styles of logbooks to choose from and they range in price from $5.00 to $25.00.

Typically for private and semi-private classes we meet three times:

1st day: Step 2 (shooting the breeze)

2nd day: Step 3 pool in the morning, Tarpon Bay in the afternoon

3rd day: Scorpion IV dives

  • We will try to work privates together to form semi-privates if requested.

  • Groups usually require a two week stay in the area, unless you have your own group.

  • We are very flexible and we will adjust our schedule to accommodate your timetable as best we can.

  • When weather-conditions and time constraints dictate, we can complete certifications by diving Tarpon Bay again on the final day.

  • We teach SSI (Scuba Schools International) and PADI.   These are two of many scuba training organizations.   They all adhere to the same set of standards.   They are all recognized all over the world.   The letters on your c-card really have nothing to do with how good a diver you become, that’s where the Capt. comes in.

  • SSI is our least expensive route for materials and support, therefore it is also your least expensive route to earn your certification.
